SERVE

Make a Difference at St. John's

Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.

1 Peter 4:10

It is our privilege and responsibility to serve God and His Church. Have a look at some of the opportunities we have for you to get involved in serving.

There are many ways to be of service on Sundays as greeters, readers, coffee makers and also as friendly faces welcoming fellow believers.

Keyboard musicians are always welcome, and what could be more fun than being a bell ringer with our group of “Ding-a-lings”? If you love to sing we have a place for you.

We have classes for children from preschool to Grade 8, grouped appropriately. So you can lead or help out with an age group you are gifted and feel comfortable.

A lot of time goes into making our church building a welcoming place and the members of the Altar Guild are vital in this. Consider joining their team.

The Stitchers Group provides quilted blankets, knitted or crocheted items for local charities.

Our church also partners with FCSS and their Meals on Wheels program.

In the words of St. Paul

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Phillipians 4:6-7
